As we enter our last week of SchwitZen Saunas, we are having more and more heartfelt conversations about how this space has contributed to the lives and wellness of our customers.

With all sincerity, it is the most beautiful thing to know that we have been able to create something that developed meaning in lives other than our own.

We love this little studio space. It's provided sanctuary, safety and warmth to so many over the last few years 🤍

With just over two weeks until we close our doors, we are finding joy in the little things. It's in the mundane... like putting the key into the lock, opening up OUR business. Fluffing the cushions on the beautiful reception chairs that have provided both physical and somehow emotional support. Tending to the plants. Quality checking the towels every load of laundry...

With life comes change. And we are embracing ours 🤍 We will miss our own little space, but there is opportunity to find Zen all around us.

Our last day is Saturday 22nd August. Until then...

It is not the sun that is setting, but the earth that is turning 🌏🧘

It is with great sadness that we announce that we will be closing our doors.

For more than five years we have poured ourselves into SchwitZen Saunas. What a journey.

SchwitZen was a huge step towards working for ourselves, sharing a love of sauna, Kneipp, and gentle German wellness custom with Australia. We just wanted simple, without overwhelm or upselling. A space to Zen. And Schwitz.

In a market that has become heavily saturated, with big investment money and marketing, our little studio can't remain competitive. So. After the thousands of hours that we have both invested, our own savings, and all of the endless optimism and hope that SchwitZen could become something sustainable, we have finally made the call. We want to thank all those who supported us over the past few years. Every single person who visited us as a customer or just to stop in for a chat. Your support and compliments have kept us going. Believing in ourselves and our business.

So thank you. It's bittersweet for us, closing the chapter on this dream, but it is just the earth that is turning... and we are excited for the time to enjoy each other and our lives while we explore what's next!

We will remain open for Zen infrared sauna sessions until 4pm Saturday 22nd August.

One of the differences between traditional and infrared sauna, is that you don't have to take off your jewellery!

Traditional saunas have a significantly hotter air temperature and can make wearing earrings, necklaces, rings or piercing jewellery uncomfortable (and hot!) 🔥

Infrared saunas emit light waves that are absorbed by your body, warming you from within. So the air temperature isn't intense, there's no humidity and you can comfortably leave your jewellery on.

Just take everything else off 😉

There are many meanings to a phrase like this. But it all amounts to the same thing. Life is what is happening around you, every day. Enjoy the journey.

It's good to have something to look forward to, to save for. And definitely don't be frivolous at a time where the cost of living is something most people are concerned about. But don't restrict yourself from all things - waiting for the perfect moment to live your life. Don't wear blinkers, only looking towards the end goal.

Open up to what's around you. Do the thing. Make the phonecall. Wear the outfit. Be yourself. Don't wait for a sign. Jump in. Try something new. Sing the song... out loud.

You don't have to be the best at something to enjoy it, or even good at it. You do have to be doing it though.
